The Advantages of Heels

A recent study with controversial findings have shown that the wearing of high heels might not be all that harmful. Research in the past have solely focused on physical effects of high heels; with lower back pains, neck aches and deformed feet topping the list. However, a recent study suggests that the advantages may well outweigh the disadvantages.

This study was led by an Australian researcher (Jamie Chiu) and studied over a period of 8 years (since the beginning of my high heels career). Interestingly enough, the study showed that women who wear heels feel more confident and receive more compliments when a few inches taller than not. The common misconception of losing balance easier was shown to be untrue. The study showed that the amount of falls a flat-wearing girl will go through in any given time period is no less than a heel-clad one.

Surprisingly, the study claims that when going through emotional turmoil, adding a few extra inches may not just up your height but your self-esteem too. As quoted from one participant, “being 4 inches taller can give you a whole new perspective on everything!”

Another finding worth noting is that the benefits increase exponentially with the quality, price and brand of heels worn; with the best heels projecting maximum effects.

The researcher concludes by saying that unless physically unable to wear heels, all females should do so.

However, the reliability of such results is yet to be confirmed through further research.
