Apparently, there’s more to a star sign..each person has at least three! The sun sign, moon sign and mercury sign. WOW. See, all the things I learn from the world wide web. Being a teacher, we have at least an hour each day where the kids are working quietly, and that is my “surf the web” time. Usually, I try to be educational and read the news, but I often end up on facebook messaging my co-worker who’s right next door. Yes, sounds sad, but that’s just what I do. Anyhow, today I randomly googled LIBRA HOROSCOPE. TA-DA….a million search results. And one just stood out. Find your FREE BIRTH CHART. And so I did, and I found out that I am a Libra in sun, Sagittarius in moon and a Scorpio in Mercury. Never knew that!
So here is my profile….according to the stars above. =)
SUN IN LIBRA
Those with the Sun in Libra have an easy grace and charm that is enviable. Many have soothing voices that are easy on the ears, which is lucky since they love to talk. When their gift for the gab is put to a high-minded purpose, they’re at their very best.
Libra is associated with the scales, and they’re noted for being able to harmonize and bring peace to conflicted situations. They thrive in calm, aesthetically pleasing environments, and can be easily discombobulated by the chaos of modern life.
It’s hard and perhaps even not natural for a Libra to “go it alone,” since more than any other sign, they work best in a social environment. They enjoy bouncing ideas off other people, and joining forces as a team, which makes them great business partners. Many Libras are drawn to creative fields, since their eye for beauty is often quite refined.
In romance, the Sun in Libra has a natural gift for being the ideal in the eyes of their beloved. This is partly because they’re so instinctively aware of what it is the other wants and needs them to be. And while some Libras end up losing their sense of self in the process, a more romantic, devoted partner is hard to find.
At a party, you’ll find that Libra is the one playing host or hostess and looking fabulously at ease. They’ve got an artful way of spreading around the cocktails and the scintillating ideas — watching them might make you think of a lava lamp because it’s just as hypnotic.
The same languid style that puts everyone in a relaxed mood can lead to self-indulgence and a passive attitude toward life. And even though Libras take a lot of heat for being indecisive, they make up for it with an idealism that has the power to change their world.
ASCENDANT IN GEMINI
Those born with Gemini rising see the world as a place to learn. They are curious about the people around them. These are people who love to ask questions, to move around freely, and to mingle. Definitely restless and often quick in physical expression, natives of the Gemini Ascendant exude an air of impatience even if they don’t mean it. They can be bubbly, changeable, talkative, and a little quirky. These natives are interesting and fun. They constantly explain things, whether it’s their own behavior and opinion or those of the world around them.
The Ascendant (or rising sign) is often considered the mask one wears when meeting others. Perhaps it is most aptly thought of as the automatic responses to one’s environment. The Ascendant shows our natural defenses and how we cope with day-to-day issues. The energies of the sign and condition of the Ascendant are most overt and obvious to others. The Ascendant shows an individual’s first, natural reaction to new people and situations.
Gemini Rising and Mercury in Scorpio
Your ruling planet Mercury is in the probing and shrewd sign of Scorpio. Your wit has a dark edge to it and you are particularly fond of black humor. You can be caustic and witty with words, or mischievously point out the unspoken thing that everybody else is trying to skirt. Your function is like that of the child who pointed out that the emperor was not wearing any clothes. You like to play the spy, the detective. You search out hidden truth, talk about the forbidden topic and look past facades. Psychology, esoteric or occult knowledge or the deeper aspects of healing and medicine intrigue you.
MOON IN SAGITTARIUS
More than anything, Lunar Sagittarians have a need for personal freedom and space. They are extraordinarily happy and easygoing folk, as long as they don’t feel caged in or cooped up. Lunar Sagittarians have a simultaneous need for activity. Meeting new people, going out in the world, and travel are all important to their sense of well-being. They love open spaces, and, in their homes, a roomy and bright environment.
There’s a bit of a teacher in Moon in Sagittarius, and definitely a helpful spirit. They easily forget appointments and the like, and some are even considered irresponsible. However, it is hard to stay angry at a Lunar Sagittarian! They are so cheerful and upbeat, and their optimism is catchy.
Many people with this position are outdoorsy types. At the very least, they have a great love for friendly competition.
When the going gets tough, these people run away. They don’t like to be caught up in routine for too long, and they simply need to escape.
There’s a blind faith in Lunar Sagittarians that is admirable. They simply believe that everything will work out. Not much for making detailed plans, people with Moon in Sagittarius prefer to wing it. They’re very adaptable and generally on the go.
MERCURY IN SCORPIO
These people are on an eternal quest to get to the very heart of any matter. This appears in anything that requires thought, and in almost every conversation they have. Totally fearless when it comes to delving into depths that nobody else wants, or even thinks, to explore, Mercury in Scorpio is adept at learning the source and the core of any problem or issue. Often they seem to pick up on everything, especially what goes unsaid. What they offer has depth, while going to the heart of the matter.
As a water sign, they read emotional vibes, and are the first to spot a liar. Because of this radar for what’s off, they sometimes seem obsessed with other people’s character flaws. They are skilled investigators and love having a mystery to solve. This genius for disecting human motivation also makes them gifted artists, often drawn to the darker side of life as subject matter.
When challenged, this Mercury has an instinct for gaining the upper hand in a conversation at any cost. Their intelligence is absolutely instinctive. Strategies are their specialty. It can be very hard to win an argument or debate with Mercury in Scorpio. They are absolutely driven to win, not just for the sake of scoring intellectual points, but simply to come out on top in general. Besides that, it is hard to deny that their thinking is really quite lucid, at least in presentation. You may be gritting your teeth, but it will be hard not to concede.
They’ll staunchly support and defend anyone they care about. And, their energy in speech (or sheer intensity) can be motivating. The pep talk may have been at someone else’s expense, however (they may have torn someone else apart to boost you up, for example).
Mercury in Scorpio loves anything that challenges the brain and are often interested in what makes people tick.
So there…that’s what they say about me. What do you think?
